Hello again to my small (yet awesome) community of readers! Life has been hectic on all fronts over here in the Korean countryside but I’m alive and well 🙂
My last post was on Valentine’s Day, and I don’t think I can sum up the last 5 months in a short, succinct, Twitter-ific way, so I will start with the present and if something from these past few months applies, I’ll address it.
Also, I’ve noticed that when it comes to blogging, I do want to share real parts of my personal life with you, BUT…this is not my journal. So I’m working on creating a balance between letting people in and sharing the more helpful parts of my life (both positive and negative, because people can learn from another person’s struggles), and keeping nuggets (both sweet and bitter) of my personal life, personal.
Right now, I just finished the third session of my school’s Advanced Intensive Course (AIC) which is a very demanding program for teachers and the students, too. Because I care (probably too much) about the quality of my classes and because I seem to like making things more challenging for myself, I revised my entire course instead of recycling or revising the one I used earlier this year. This meant I had to once again assess what was successful in my classes and what needed to be changed; gather new materials; and create Plan Bs, Cs, and Ds for when things don’t go according to plan (WHICH ALWAYS HAPPENS…) Despite those difficulties, I am super pleased with the turnout and can’t wait to share some of my ESL activities with you 🙂
Anyway, now that I am somewhat confident in the way my course is laid out, I have more time for blogging! So here is my OOTD: Head to toe yellow dedicated to the summer sun’s rays. Because if you can’t beat ‘em, smothering you with excessive heat and secretly trying to destroy you by stalking you in your home, car, workplace, and dreams…you may as well join ’em, color-wise.
