My experience with Korean seasons is that while it technically has four (five if you include monsoon season), spring and fall don’t last more than two weeks. Up until last week, the skies have been gray and cloudy, the air has been chilly, the trees still bare.
Winter is acting like it never got its eviction notice, and that means I can’t put all of my winter clothes away just yet. This was one of my favorite outfits back home: semi-baggy jeans with a tapered ankle, a fitted short-sleeved sweater, and colorful wedges.
At a recent doctor visit here in Korea, I was told that Koreans (and anyone living in Korea) don’t get enough vitamin D and supplements are strongly encouraged due to limited sunshine, especially during the long, dreary winters (lack of vitamin D can contribute brittle bones and sadness/depression). I’m trying to give the sun subliminal messages with my top, but I’m not sure if it’s working…at least it lifted my mood a bit!
