Seoul Sites: Cheonggyecheon Stream

If you’re following along with my (very tardy) chronological order of summer events in Seoul with my mom, you know we visited some cool palaces and caught a glimpse of the Blue House. Another site that isn’t too far from the palaces (and is $Free.99) is Cheonggyecheon Stream. Cheonggyechon Stream in Seoul Korea. Summer Travel ideas

How to Get There:

Line 2 (green line) at the following stations: Euljiro 1-ga Station, Exit 3; Euljiro 3-ga Station (also Line 3, orange line), Exit 4 or 5; Euljiro 4-ga (also Line 5, purple line), Exit 3 or 4.

Line 1 (dark blue line): Jonggak Station, Exit 5; Jongno 3-ga Station (also Line 3 and Line 5), Exit 12/13/14.

Cost: Free!

The stream is a famous site for many festivals that happen in Seoul, and is just a generally scenic place to relax, people watch, or take a walk.

Atembe is a Cameroonian-American who is exactly 27 years old (because saying "20-something" is SO 2016) and currently teaching kiddos art and English in South Korea. In her free time she's dancing, drinking too much celebrity tea, living vicariously through characters in her favorite TV comedies, or [sometimes] letting her husband Eric beat her at Wii. Catch her on Twitter or Instagram via @sothisisfate, and for a faster response, tweet her a "TAR!..."
